Commercial Plumbing Estimator
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for estimating plumbing costs for a variety of commercial projects, including hospitals, healthcare facilities, hotels, and schools. The role involves collaborating with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure accurate and competitive pricing for our plumbing services.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed plumbing estimates for commercial projects.
• Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine scope of work.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to gather project requirements.
• Utilize estimating software such to generate quotes.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather data for accurate estimates.
• Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to identify costs.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing information.
• Assist in the development of project budgets and proposals.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a plumbing estimator in a commercial setting.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and codes.
• Familiarity with construction methods and materials.
• Experience in estimating software such as FastPIPE, QuoteSoft, or Quote Express.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
