Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee our Shell construction projects in Sarasota and Miami. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing the day-to-day operations of construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as a deep understanding of Shell construction processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise all phases of construction on-site, ensuring the project is completed according to design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Oversee the daily activities of subcontractors and construction workers, providing direction and ensuring productivity.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments to schedules and resources as needed to ensure on-time completion.
• Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety standards.
• Manage the coordination of subcontractors, materials, and equipment, ensuring that everything is in place for the timely execution of the project.
• Review and approve project materials, ensuring they meet the project’s specifications and quality requirements.
• Report daily to the Project Manager on progress, issues, and safety concerns, and propose solutions for any problems that arise.
• Ensure project documentation, including safety reports, logs, and daily reports, is accurate and up-to-date.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
• Proven experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, specifically with Shell construction projects.
• Minimun 3 years of experience managing on-site construction operation
• Knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and building codes.
• OSHA (10-hour) certification required; OSHA (30-hour) certification preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors efficiently and effectively.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient in construction management software and MS Office.
