Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of construction projects, ensuring that all factors are considered to provide the best possible bids. This role plays a critical part in the project lifecycle, from initial cost evaluation to final bid submission, contributing to the overall success and profitability of the projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects
• Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work
• Solicit and evaluate vendor quotes to ensure competitive pricing
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop project budgets and timelines
• Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the estimating process
• Stay updated on industry trends, construction costs, and best practices in estimating
• Participate in the bid process, including preparing bid documentation and presenting bids to clients
• Review and analyze change orders and their impact on project budgets
Qualifications
• Proven experience as an Estimator in the commercial construction industry
• Strong understanding of construction costs, bidding processes, and project management
• Proficiency in estimating software, such as Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
