The Lead Teacher will be responsible for developing strong relationships with children and families, implementing curriculum, maintaining compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, following Heartland Policies and Procedures, and Child Care Licensing rules and regulations. This position will partner with a multi-disciplinary team to provide the best service to our Head Start Families. The Lead Teacher will supervisor two teacher assistants.
Head Start offers opportunity for on-site professional development scheduled during work hours, a team-oriented program that assists with providing the best service for our families, and individualized coaching.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in early childhood education with a Kansas teaching license that qualifies her/him to teach preschool or Bachelor degree and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education, with experience teaching preschool-age children.
Salary:    Based on education and experience.
