Job Description/Responsibilities
Drives and enables organizational improvements in Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, and OEE by deploying and sustaining standardized Lean and Six Sigma tools across all functions at the plant. Responsible for defining and executing the Lean and Six Sigma vision, including delivering training, providing coaching, and personal application of the tools. Manages the Six Sigma Belt certification process through a combination of internal training, evaluations, and partnerships with external providers. Offers ongoing coaching in structured problem-solving to develop leadership skills within the organization.
• Assist the Plant Engineer & Reliability Manager with leading, identifying, and planning of annual cost saving capital projects within the plant to drive capacity and OEE improvements.
• Lead the development, deployment, and sustainment of Lean Six Sigma training programs at the plant, focusing on building internal expertise at all levels, from operators to senior leadership. Drive the certification process for Yellow, Green, and Black Belt candidates, ensuring all employees are equipped to apply Lean Six Sigma tools to improve safety, quality, and operational performance. Mentor direct reports and plant teams to improve technical skills, line efficiencies, and adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards. Provide ongoing coaching to ensure continuous improvement in Lean Six Sigma capabilities across the plant.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve equipment performance, OEE, and plant capacity, directly contributing to world-class customer service standards. Guide process leads in using Lean Six Sigma tools to reduce inefficiencies, improve product quality, and increase responsiveness to customer needs. Ensure all Lean Six Sigma initiatives align with customer expectations and deliver value by enhancing operational efficiency, reducing downtime, and improving service delivery.
• Support Lean Six Sigma-driven cost reduction projects by analyzing production data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, yield, and throughput. Work cross-functionally with operations, functional, and technical teams to reduce waste, optimize material usage, and improve overall productivity. Ensure that cost-saving initiatives are sustainable and do not compromise product quality. Leverage Lean Six Sigma tools to continuously monitor progress and drive improvements that deliver measurable savings at the plant.
• Provide Lean Six Sigma expertise to drive continuous operational improvements, focusing on enhancing productivity and reducing downtime. Lead the deployment of Lean tools and techniques to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and improve OEE across the plant. Work closely with the network continuous improvement team to apply Lean Six Sigma best practices in daily operations, including equipment optimization, waste reduction, and process improvement. Foster a culture of excellence by coaching plant teams in the use of Lean tools to improve overall performance.
• Support line capacity planning and inventory management by utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools to streamline processes and reduce errors. Work with cross-functional teams to improve efficiencies, document standard work, and enhance quality. Support initiatives to drive measurable improvements to glidepath performance for the plant, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational efficiency.
• Lead the execution of Lean Six Sigma initiatives by prioritizing key projects that drive the company's growth and operational efficiency at the plant. Oversee the approval and execution of Belt projects, ensuring they align with overall plant objectives and contribute to continuous improvement. Manage the integration of these projects with broader organizational goals, tracking progress against KPIs to ensure timely completion. Regularly communicate project status and outcomes to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and knowledge sharing impactful results across the network.
• Ensure that Lean Six Sigma principles are applied to enhance safety across all the plant. Utilize data-driven decision-making and problem-solving tools to identify and resolve safety-related inefficiencies, reducing risks and promoting a safer working environment. Work closely with plant teams to create a culture of continuous safety improvement, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Support safety-related process improvement initiatives that reduce accidents, injuries, and near-misses, while improving overall safety performance.
• Oversee the integration of Lean Six Sigma practices to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA, TTB). Ensure that all process improvements and operational changes adhere to legal and compliance standards, taking corrective action as needed. Use Lean Six Sigma tools to monitor and maintain compliance while driving operational improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement across the plant through use of Lean Six Sigma methodology and tools to drive improvements in efficiency, safety, quality, and OEE. Mentor direct reports and plant teams in structured problem-solving and process optimization, ensuring that all improvements are data-driven and sustainable. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of inefficiencies and implement solutions that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance. Continuously foster a culture of improvement and empower teams to identify and act on opportunities for optimization.
Qualifications/Requirements

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Strong analytical and technical skills
• Bachelor's Degree
• Lean six sigma certified or relevant project management experience
• 2 years Training, coaching, and curriculum development.
PREFERRED • Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
• Master's degree in related field
• 2 years Experience driving change in an organization
Physical Requirements • Ability to move about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
