**Overview:** We are seeking a friendly and energetic Retail Sales Associate to join our team in a fast-paced grocery store environment. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and meeting sales targets. **Responsibilities:** - Greet and assist customers in a friendly and courteous manner, answering questions and addressing concerns. - Maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services offered by the store, including promotions and sales. - Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and returns. - Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and checkout area. - Stock shelves and displays, ensuring that all merchandise is properly displayed and easily accessible. - Meet or exceed sales targets, using effective communication and upselling techniques to maximize sales. - Develop and maintain a strong understanding of retail math and basic math principles to manage inventory, track sales, and make informed business decisions. - Demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction, going above and beyond to ensure customer needs are met. - Utilize bilingual skills to effectively communicate with customers who speak multiple languages. - Perform tasks as assigned by management, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and special events. **Skills:** - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues. - Ability to lift and move stock, as well as stand for extended periods. - Basic math skills to accurately manage inventory and cash transactions. - Strong retail sales skills, including the ability to upsell and promote products. - Experience working in a grocery store or retail environment. - Proficiency in bilingual communication to cater to diverse customer needs. - Familiarity with retail math and basic math principles. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
