About Us
Bulletin text: Denver International Airport (DIA) has an opening for an Electronic Systems Technician. Duties will be to install, modify, fabricate, troubleshoot, repair and maintain a wide variety of specialized technical equipment. This will include microwave transmitters and receivers, radar, computers, close circuit television, cable television, security, runway lighting controls, public address paging, fire alarm and other related electronic systems.
About Our Job
You will:
• troubleshoot, test, calibrate and perform bench and field repairs to the component level
• work on the airport-wide Public Safety System
• design, fabricate circuits and related equipment as needed to resolve unusual problems
• be called upon to install and maintain radio systems, antennas, transmission lines, power supplies, cameras, digital videos recorders, microwave, alarm and signaling equipment, computer data systems, and other related communication systems.
• In addition, you will perform preventative maintenance to minimize repair problems and to meet manufacturer’s specifications.
About You
You will be required to obtain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with tanker endorsement by end of probation (5 months or before). Required graduation from HS/GED and supplemented by a certificate in electronics from a recognized training program. In addition, three (3) years of current experience in electronic analog and digital equipment repair which must have included bench repair to the component level. A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements. Possession of a valid Colorado Class “R” Driver’s License at the time of application. You must be willing to work emergencies or snow removal operations. FBI fingerprinting is required.
