Quality Assurance Shift Manager
Currently partnered with a leading Food Manufacturer high-quality, nutritious food products, primarily serving the K-12 education sector looking for a Quality Assurance Shift Manager with food manufacturing experience to join the team. The role would oversee the quality assurance process on one of two available shifts.
Responsibilities:
• Carry out QA policies, procedures, and directives in the development of and compliance with company, customer, and government expectations while providing feedback and required follow up to ensure proper corrective action.
• Participate with customer audits and annual SQF audits
• Maintain quality programs such as Pest Control, Self-Inspection, Supplier Management, Safety, Microbio Testing and Defense.
• Conduct pre-shipment review, CCP’s, validation studies, report on deficiencies for GMP’s, HACCP and SSOP’s
• Direct inspection and sample activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products. Inspect products to specifications
• Work with Plant Manager and Sanitation Manager to ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance of facility, equipment and grounds.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from four-year accredited College or university
• 5+ years of quality control experience; in a food-manufacturing environment
• HACCP Certified (preferred)
• SQF Certified (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of HACCP, SSOP and SOP.
• Knowledge of USDA and FDA standards.
• Computer skills, analytical, equipment and food-processing equipment.
• Knowledge of quality processes related to the food-processing industry.
