Process Control Technician
Job Description:
The Process Control Technician position is responsible for helping to implement mechanical and procedural initiatives, while the overall objective is to maintain and improve upon the Cambria manufacturing and polishing processes, ensuring consistency and increasing yield. Process improvement and metrics are essential to this role. This is a deeply technical role that requires hands on management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform process control checks and actively communicate the results
• Assist with trial coordination as needed by engineers by helping develop testing protocols, adapting protocols, or managing audits
• Perform routine live control monitoring audits
• Assist Process Engineering in providing manufacturing support by learning to analyze data and identify manufacturing issues
• Work with operators on basic process and engineering changes
• Assist in identifying manufacturing issues by working with Process Engineering to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventative action
• Possess and display a strong knowledge of and troubleshooting skills for the following: mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, switches, motor starters, contactors, hoists, material handling equipment, and other components of the production facility and/or material handling equipment
• Possess a strong knowledge of data analytics, metrics, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Understand the operations of Oracle and Tableau software systems
• Handle chemicals
• Perform job duties safely as outlined in the Process Technology Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications & Skills:
• Ability to become certified in forklift and overhead crane operation
• Ability to become certified in Chemical Handling
• Ability to read and write in English to complete required documentation
• Basic computer skills
• Bachelors Degree preferred
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Associate’s Degree and/or other technical discipline certification or equivalent related experience - Bachelors degree preferred
Experience: Industrial work experience - preferred
Systems: Experience with Oracle, Tableau and other metric based software
Physical Requirements:
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Push/pull 100 lbs.
• Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria
• Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises
• Occasionally work in wet and/or humid conditions
• Work in a non-climate controlled environment
• Separate slabs using a separator tool in both racks and A-frames
• Climb in and out of a forklift multiple times throughout shift
• Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift
• Bend over multiple times throughout shift
Task Based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
• Steel toed boots
• Hearing Protection
• Safety glasses
• Cut-proof gloves
• Respirator
• Face shield
• Latex gloves
Cambria’s starting hourly range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00. Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
