Server
Position Purpose
The Servers are responsible for taking orders and serving food and drinks to customers with a positive attitude and ensuring that the tables are served properly, and all payments are collected in a timely manner.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude
• Enter orders into the point of sales system
• Engage with customers on a friendly manner
• Knowledge of the menu with the ability to upsell and make suggestions
• Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
• Collect payment from tables
• Complete opening, running, and closing side work
• Make sure the restaurant is always clean and ready for customers
• Clock in and out and claim tips
• Record any tip outs
• Complete cash out and cash drop accurately
Operating Responsibilities
Work performed and composed of a variety of different tasks, calling for use of judgment, and compliance with policies and procedures. Must be both a team player and self-starter.
Education And Experience
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Restaurant or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification card
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Working knowledge of sanitation procedures
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
• Must be able to lift, carry, push & pull up to 50 lbs with assistance
• Must be willing to work swing shifts, weekends and holidays as directed by General Manager
• Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally
• Must be able to stand, bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
