Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Evaluates and treats patients referred by a licensed physician in accordance with the Practice Act for the State of Georgia. Applies a wide variety of therapeutic techniques for rehabilitation of speech-language, oral motor, and hearing disorders. Performs specialized evaluations for dysphagia. Complies with hospital policies and supports the mission and values of the hospital.The Speech Language Pathologist must be duly licensed by the Georgia State Board. The therapist must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. The speech-language pathologist must hold a Master’s degree from an American Speech-Language Hearing Association accredited program and licensed to practice by the Georgia State Board. The therapist must also hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence. Speech Language Pathologists should have as a minimum, broad experience in a variety of different clinical settings through their ASHA accredited clinical internship programs.
