Teakdecking Systems, a leader in marine deck technology, seeks an experienced VP of Products Division to expand our Professional Marine Protection and Maintenance Solutions product line in the U.S. and international markets. This role owns global product strategy, financial performance, and market expansion efforts.
We are seeking a Marine Manufacturing Professional with deep marine industry expertise , international business acumen, and leadership experience in product management, marketing and sales, ready to take on the challenge of this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Global Business Strategy & P&L Management
· Lead overall product strategy, development, and global marketing.
· Manage P&L, revenue, costs, and profitability across all markets.
· Identify growth opportunities and optimize financial performance.
· Ensure compliance with international regulatory standards.
Market Expansion & Sales Growth
· Expand U.S. and international market presence in key boating/yachting regions (Europe, Mediterranean, Caribbean, Asia-Pacific).
· Conduct market research to assess customer needs and competition.
· Develop tailored market entry strategies, including partnerships and localized formulations.
· Establish clear sales goals, timelines, and expansion strategies.
Product Development & Innovation
· Oversee product development to align with global customer needs.
· Adapt existing products for regional climates, regulations, and market demands.
· Integrate feedback from marine professionals to enhance formulations and usability.
· Manage budgets and resources for innovative product improvements.
Marketing & Brand Strategy
· Develop global marketing strategies to build brand awareness.
· Localize marketing campaigns and materials for regional relevance.
· Optimize budget allocation to maximize returns in key markets.
· Track marketing performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
Pricing & Revenue Optimization
· Implement competitive pricing strategies considering regional market conditions.
· Adjust pricing models based on currency fluctuations and cost structures.
· Develop promotional strategies tailored to specific market needs.
Global Distribution & Channel Management
· Build and manage international distributor and retailer relationships.
· Establish partnerships with marinas, shipyards, carpentry service providers, and online marine retailers.
· Support channel partners with training, sales tools, and co-marketing initiatives.
· Ensure efficient distribution and logistics across all regions.
Sales Strategy & Execution
· Define global sales processes and performance metrics.
· Oversee sales execution across all markets, ensuring revenue targets are met.
· Manage international sales teams or partner networks.
· Analyze sales data to refine strategies and drive growth.
Leadership & Team Development
· Lead a global team across product management, marketing, and sales.
· Foster a collaborative and inclusive work culture.
· Manage teams across different time zones and cultural contexts.
· Mentor and develop high-performing professionals.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Marine Engineering, or related field.
· MBA preferred with a focus on International Business or Global Management.
· 10+ years of leadership experience in international market expansion.
· Proven success in launching and scaling product lines globally.
· Experience managing global P&L and navigating regulatory landscapes.
· Background in marine maintenance, coatings, or specialty chemicals preferred.
