• Prepare surveys and ensure compliance.
• Prepare Boundary, Topographic, As-Built, Specific Purpose, Hydrographic, and Control Surveys and graphics using AutoCAD, Autodesk Raster Design, and Carlson Coordinate Geometry software, and perform geodetic and state plane calculations using applicable software.
• Prepare parcel sketches and legal descriptions for Capital Improvement Projects, Drainage Projects, Land Acquisition, and Easement Acquisition.
• Review subdivision plats for compliance with the Unified Development Code, as amended, and Chapter 177, Part I, Platting.
• Research archives and provide plats, surveys, R/W Maps, etc. to external and internal customers.
• Perform field work using a Leica Robotic Total Station for route surveying, topographic surveys, and Boundary surveys.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M.
About You
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Surveyor In Training (SIT) certification or Florida Professional Surveyor and Mappers license.
• A valid Florida Driver's License at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
• Two (2) years of progressive land survey experience.
• Proficient in using AutoCAD.
• Proficient using Carlson.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.
About Everything Else
Starting Pay: $61,152.00/ annually
Pay Schedule:
• 3% increase after probation and 3% every 6 months thereafter for up to 24 months.
• After completing 24 months the pay schedule is moved to an annual merit increase (dependent upon a successful performance review).
• This is a 60 month (5 years) trainee program and after the completion of the trainee program you will be placed in the Sr. Surveyor position and at regular salary.
