Job Title: Automatic Door Technician
Reports To: Operations Manager
Key Areas of Responsibility:
The Automatic Door Technician position is an integral part of Flylock Security of Southwest Fl. and is key to the growth of the company. All Door Technicians must have the ability to work well in a high-paced working environment. The individual must work well as part of the team and independently from the General Manager. The Automatic Door Technician position is a hands-on technical position geared toward an individual who has a technical mindset and problem-solving skills. Ideal candidates will have door hardware experience, access control knowledge and demonstrate the ability to learn new technical methods and techniques.
Requirements/Responsibilities
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in technical hands-on field experience with Automatic doors service and installation.
Nice to Have: Physical Requirements:
• AADM certification is preferred but not mandatory. We can train to achieve it.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A strong desire to learn new skills and to grow with the company
• Builds and maintains working relations with customers
• Takes ownership for each project from first walk-through to final sign-off
• Maintains accurate records of all inspections/service calls and troubleshooting as required including documentation and updating paperwork.
• Acts as onsite project lead to meet project timelines and goals and oversees lead technicians, technicians, apprentices, and subcontractors.
• Other duties as required by management.
• Experience with systems mentioned below is useful but not all required.
• Record, Stanley, Door Controls, Dor o matic, Nabco, Portalp, etc..
• Lock Hardware, maglocks, strikes, fob readers, keypads, panic bars, etc.
• Must be able to fluently understand, speak, and write English.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to kneel, crouch and stoop.
• Ability to reach above and below the shoulders.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist, and pull.
• Ability to climb a ladder and work above ground.
• Withstand external weather conditions year-round.
