Job Summary
Owensboro Community and Technical College is seeking to hire two Maintenance & Operations Workers who report to the Maintenance and Operations Supervisor. These positions perform general maintenance duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of campus (in buildings and on the campus grounds), order supplies, and work with others on the M&O team to complete tasks. We are offering two different shifts, 8am-4pm OR 1pm-9pm. Please share which shift you prefer within your cover letter.
Job Duties
• Utilize basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables.
• Assemble and deliver equipment and furniture.
• Monitor and secure facility interior and exterior entrances, reports issues to appropriate entities.
• Maintain organization of supply areas and equipment, document inventory, perform some clerical duties, and request additional supplies as needed.
• Document and report repairs, violations, and pest control needs.
• Provide groundskeeping services and maintain clean walkways to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) and one (1) year of related experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Associates degree or vocational certificates and three (3) year of related experience preferred.
• Forklift or Tractor experience preferred
