• Serve as the Facilities liaison in partnership with PRNR at County-owned Major League Baseball Sports Complexes, and other sports destination venues, BMX Track, Selby Aquatics Center, Benderson Park, and other sports destination venues.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for best practice maintenance repairs and renovations and provide direction and support to venue operators.
• Create scope of work documents related to sports venue-driven projects.
• Prepare technical bid documents, schedules, and correspondence for construction projects.
• Prepare solicitations for Professional Services, Term Agreements, and management of contracts.
• Negotiate contract scope, budget, and schedule with selected consultants.
• Review preliminary and 30/60/90% design documents and submittals with the project team and owner.
• Plan, organize, review, and evaluate the work of contractors, vendors, and support staff.
• Work with Architects, Engineers, and maintenance staff to ensure appropriate construction documents are prepared to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as industry and ADA standards.
• Inspect and coordinate construction with telecommunication, electrical, mechanical, security, and all other team members to deliver a turnkey project.
• Seek innovative products, methods, and technology for sport venue construction and maintenance of assets.
• Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules.
• Ensure that the design consultants meet all technical and contractual requirements.
• Review all purchasing activities including the submittal of purchase requisitions.
• Monitor contractors to ensure performance and work provided meets/exceeds county standards and expectations of quality workmanship.
• Conduct scheduled building and property exterior and interior inspections of county Major League sports and destination sports venues for the appearance of grounds, buildings, and operational functionality of building and site systems.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
About You
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or a related field and three (3) years of related professional experience.
• -OR- Master's degree in a related field and two (2) years of required experience.
• -OR- Project experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis depending on the type of experience.
• Valid Florida driver's license at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of sports venue management.
• Advanced knowledge of the methods, equipment, principles, practices, troubleshooting, and techniques of facility maintenance.
• PMP Certification.
• Formal training and experience with Project Management Institute.
• Proficiency in project management software such as; eBuilder, Trimble, or similar construction workflow management, Adobe Pro.
CJIS Clearance: **The successful candidate will be subject to an extensive background check(s) as a part of the hiring process.
About Everything Else
Starting Pay Range: $61,734.40 - $68,000.00/ annually, based on experience.
