Job Description
This role involves all aspects of managing residential and commercial land development projects, including contracts, budgets, design, workload, and permitting. Responsibilities include:
• Providingoversight on various construction projects and working with construction inspectors
• Developing and producingconceptual, preliminary, and final construction design drawings
• Assisting with the preparation of construction plans, detail drawings, and project specifications
• Reviewing construction plans, performing horizontal and vertical roadway alignment calculations, and conducting utility research and coordination
• Assisting with permitting submittals
• Performing quantity calculations and completingengineering cost opinions
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
• BS in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field
• A Professional Engineering (PE) license in Florida, or the ability to obtain or transfer license within 1 year of start date
• Approximately 10+ years of experience
• Experience in contract administration, permitting, earthwork, site grading, utilities, stormwater management, roadway design, hydrology and hydraulic calculations, and utility design
• Familiarity with development and design processes that are specific to local geographic markets
• Experience with AutoCAD and various hydrology/hydraulics software, including StormCAD, WaterCAD, ICPR, or similar software packages
Additional Information
Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. The salary range for this position begins at $125,000. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package.RESPEC is a 100 percent employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
