To continue providing exceptional service, we are in search of a dedicated, positive, and energetic COOK to become a vital part of our kitchen staff. Requirements PREVIOUS SERVING EXPERIENCE Knowledge of dining room setup, ability to wait on tables in a full-service environment, and host/hostess knowledge Ability to understand and follow instructions in English A positive attitude and a team-player mentality Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check (felonies are a disqualifier; misdemeanors reviewed on a case-by-case basis) $18.00-20 per hour depending on experience Shift open availability, 9:00am to 9:00pm – 7 days per week knowledge including; grill, fry, salad, QB, Dessert, Pizza Pay on a weekly Basis Shift open availability, 9:00am to 9:00pm – 7 days per week Qualifications: 1. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions. 2. A minimum of three years experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club or similar institution. 3. Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications and standards. 4. Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance. Some knowledge of nutrition and diet. 5. Ability to operate/manage grill, salad bar, fry, dessert, and pizza stations. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS : Must be able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to bend, stoop, and stretch frequently throughout the day. Moderate to heavy physical effort needed infrequently. Manual dexterity for preparing food. Ability to use standard industrial kitchen appliances required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently. May be exposed to extreme temperatures (freezers and stoves-range burners) for short periods of time. May be exposed to industrial cleaning chemicals. Must be able to see, hear, and communicate with others. Requirements: Must be able to pass a drug screen and background ( cannot have any felonies (misdemeanors will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis).
Salary: $18 - $20 an hour
