We have an immediate need for a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to join the team at The Alloro at University Groves - one of United Group's professionally managed, premier luxury 55+ communities located in Sarasota, FL .
• Assesses and prioritizes all work to be performed on assigned site to include maintaining inventory of equipment, tools, and work materials and establishes and completes daily work schedules for maintenance duties and ensures quality of work duties performed.
• Notifies Property Manager of all problems and potential issues of concern and maintains working knowledge of all utility sources and supply lines.
• Assists the Property Manager with the scheduling and status of units under renovation.
• Paints, cleans, completes maintenance items, and all other items required for the completion of the unit under renovation and perform all necessary maintenance both the exterior and interiors of all buildings of the property assigned.
• Establishes and maintains preventative maintenance items and consults with the Property Manager in order to maintain the property within the guidelines of the budget.
• Completes regular inspections of the assigned property and handles all emergency situations that may arise, and communicates all details of the incident to the Property Manager.
• Holds regular monthly meetings with site staff reviewing safety, organization, training and policy review.
• Performs snow removal from all needed areas and maintains all appropriate equipment. Covers or assigns all after hour coverage of the property, if needed.
Job Overview + Requirements
• Compensation: $36.00/hour, non-exempt, eligible for Overtime.
• Work Schedule: Full Time; Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm and availability on the evenings/weekends for property events/activities, emergency scenarios, and related needs.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree and/or related/applicable work experience in property management.
• Preferred Experience / Certifications: 3-5+ years of experience in real estate property maintenance and supervising employees.
• Qualities: Demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level; Exceptional communication and leadership skills; Ability to solve problems involving residents, maintenance, and challenging situations.
