Essential Functions:

• Responsible for nursing care delivery for assigned client locations.
• Timely and accurately assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients.
• Administer prescribed medication, treatments, and other tasks, as ordered by the practitioner.
• Provide emergency first aid care when appropriate.
• Check and record vital signs, peak flows, blood glucose checks, weight, and other diagnostic tests on-site, when appropriate.
• Triage officer intake screenings for necessity and priority at sick call.
• Record information in chronic clinic and report reactions to treatments and medications, as well as changes in the patients’ emotional or physical condition.
• Record care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms.
• Coordinate medical services as directed by the practitioner and provide patient education to support care.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control precautions, as required.
• Maintain and demonstrate working knowledge of pharmacology, including drug reaction/overdose.
• Maintain and demonstrate working knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition.
• Notify supervisor of medical or security incidents.
• Attend in-service education sessions as requested by the client.
• Perform duties within the scope of practice mandated by state and local standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA practices as required by government agencies.
• Acquire professional licensure as directed.
• May be asked to train new hires and coworkers.
• Proficient in using and maintaining patient electronic healthcare records and learning AIMM electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Acquire and maintain professional nursing licensure.
• Remain available for staffing coverage needs including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Registered Nursing License and associate's degree required.
• Must be licensed and/or willing to obtain licensure in the state(s) where practice occurs.
• 1+ year(s) of nursing experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; hands-on training required.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
