Job Description: Kennel Attendant Location: Owensboro, KY, 42301
We are seeking a Kennel Attendant to join our team. The Kennel Attendant will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of our animals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and a desire to provide the best possible care for them.
Responsibilities:
• Feed and water animals according to schedule
• Clean and sanitize kennels and animal living areas
• Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns to supervisor
• Administer medication and treatments as directed by veterinarian
• Assist with grooming and bathing of animals
• Provide exercise and playtime for animals
• Assist with adoptions and intake of animals
• Maintain accurate records of animal care and behavior
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience working with animals preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
