Position Area: Staff Qualifications Required: Strong understanding of general office practices and procedures, along with basic knowledge of accounting principles. Proficient in utilizing various computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in performing cashiering functions while maintaining a courteous and professional appearance when interacting with the public. Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments, consistently meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Exhibit excellent organizational skills, along with strong oral and written communication abilities. Capable of working collaboratively with others while upholding confidentiality and professionalism. Additional Considerations: Experience in utilizing PeopleSoft or comparable automated systems specifically designed for institutions of higher education. Duties: Manage all incoming calls to the main Business Office line, ensuring prompt and professional communication. Process tuition and fee payments from students or businesses and other college revenue, ensuring accurate reconciliation is completed each evening. Prepare daily cash settlement reports by compiling receipts and funds collected, and accurately entering daily deposit data into the Accounting Information System (AIS). Provide support to other staff members with tasks such as preparing outgoing mail, supply room coverage, dual enrollment processes, and student outreach regarding outstanding balances.
