Job Description
Salary:
PURPOSE:
The Greenville Chamber is looking for a LaunchGVL Director who is responsible for developing and managing the Chambers talent and workforce programs, which aim to expand the Greenville areas workforce, prepare individuals for 21st-century career opportunities, and deliver a qualified and abundant talent pool for area employers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Program Leadership and Management:
• Plan and execute day-to-day operations for the LaunchGVL Program.
• Guide and assist LaunchGVL staff, ensuring program success.
• Manage LaunchGVL staff and oversee their professional development.
• Strategic Vision and Partnership Building:
• Engage in strategic visioning in collaboration with the VP of Talent & Leadership.
• Cultivate and manage partnerships with education providers, specifically Greenville County Schools, non-profits, Chamber investors, and area employers.
• Collaborate with employers to establish and sustain internship opportunities for students.
• Program Development and Expansion:
• Develop resources and provide employer support to create meaningful work-based learning opportunities.
• Support the VP in planning and executing program expansions.
• Implement strategies to scale LaunchGVL
• Data Collection and Analysis:
• Utilize CRM systems for data collection, program evaluation, and grant reporting.
• Track and measure success through qualitative and quantitative metrics.
• Coordinate with State Agencies as needed; i.e.SC DEW, SC Department of Education, and others.
• Event Coordination:
• Coordinate and execute promotional interview days and celebration events to elevate program visibility and impact.
• General Responsibilities:
• Know and support the Chambers mission, vision, and values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Promote LaunchGVL and other Greenville Chamber Programs at events and in the community.
EDUCATION:
• Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proven success in developing and implementing workforce-related programs.
• Demonstrated ability to convene partners and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of education, workforce, and talent development trends.
• Strong relationship-building skills at all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to plan, organize, lead, delegate, and monitor effectively.
• Flexibility to work independently and handle new responsibilities.
• Familiarity with Chamber operations is preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and CRM platforms, specifically Salesforce.
• Experience with database management and maintaining confidentiality of information.
• Familiarity with social media as a professional tool is preferred.
• Awareness of cyber threats and adherence to cyber security protocols, including staff training as provided by the Chamber.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Typical office environment tasks such as keyboarding, file retrieval, and communication.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds over short distances.
• Regular local travel for program events and community meetings.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for events and networking.
• Ability to host and participate in marketing activities with prospects and members at various venues.
