Operations Manager
We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee two industrial manufacturing facilities in Central KS. This leadership position is essential in driving safety, quality, cost management, productivity, and employee retention. The ideal candidate will uphold high ethical standards, foster a strong work ethic, and lead continuous improvements focused on safety, quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the operations team to enhance safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis on safety, quality, and productivity issues and communicate findings to leadership.
• Foster a culture of safety by leading monthly safety meetings, performing safety inspections, and proactively addressing workplace hazards.
• Ensure timely completion of safety and compliance training for employees.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure safe operational procedures.
• Monitor quality standards, document deficiencies, and implement corrective actions to achieve quality goals.
• Develop employees' skills, foster a high-performance team, and create leadership growth opportunities.
• Analyze financial and performance data to identify areas for improvement and profitability.
• Apply lean manufacturing techniques and drive process improvements to reduce costs and increase profitability.
• Lead weekly production meetings to adjust plans and meet goals.
• Collaborate with Sales, Inventory Management, and Operations to optimize capacity and reduce lead times.
• Maintain accurate material tracking and forecast revenue.
• Manage timekeeping and payroll activities.
• Approve POs based on spending authorization.
• Foster integrity and trust among employees by promoting a safe and accountable work environment.
• Ensure employees' technical skills are up-to-date and assist with job training as needed.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external teams to support organizational growth.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of management experience in industrial manufacturing, with a focus on power products preferred.
• Project management experience required.
• Ability to interpret work orders and ensure team success.
• Strong work ethic, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and maintain flexibility with work schedules.
• Must adhere to safety procedures and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
