Job Summary
This position is 100% grant funded and the primary work location is in Owensboro, KY.
The College of Social Work Training Resource Center is seeking a Sobriety Treatment and Recovery Team ( START ) Family Mentor to serve in Daviess County. Family Mentors, in collaboration with DCBS social workers and the Sobriety Treatment and Recovery Team ( START ), are responsible for providing mentoring to clients receiving substance abuse treatment.
Family Mentors will serve as team members in planning, supporting and implementing strategies for prevention and building strong partnerships with community providers to help parents. Family Mentors assess client situations, capabilities, and problems to determine what services are required to meet their needs.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Customer service skills are necessary. Extensive driving is required.
