Description Safety sensitive position regulated by the Dept. of Transportation due to Commercial Driver's License requirement, responsible for becoming qualified and operating as part of a crew and/or driving multiple solid-waste collection trucks, dump trucks, or any other equipment associated with the department.  Performs preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.  Public service-oriented personality a must.
Starting pay $22.1685/hr.

Examples of Duties Primary essential functions include but are not limited to;
• Drives large vehicles/equipment, including but not limited to; refuse packer truck, or truck equipped with hydraulic lifting device;
• Transports refuse collectors, leaf rakers, on designated routes;
• Operates automated trash cart lifting device on truck;
• Unloads refuse truck;
• Performs preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
Typical Qualifications Required at Time of Application : .
• High School diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License
• Valid CDL, Class B or higher
Experience as a CDL driver is preferred, but not required.
