Pay: Starting at $130k (negotiable rates based on years of experience)
Location: On-site M-F in Chandler, AZ
Required Skills & Experience:
· 15+ years of experience as an Equipment Engineer, specifically in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment
· Direct experience in at least one of the following tools: Photolithography | Etch | Metrology | PVD
· Experience leading a project or team
· Proven ability to perform root cause analysis independently
· Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering
Job Description:
Insight Global is looking for a Sr Equipment Engineer to join the Engineering team of a cutting edge Fab in Chandler, AZ. This Engineer will be the tool owner leading projects for one of the following tools, Photolithography, Etch (Plasma or Wet), Metrology, or PVD. This individual is also responsible for identifying and reducing sources of variation, implementing zero defect processes, reducing defectivity, defining tool qualification procedures, improving tool utilization and availability, reducing cycle time, identifying and qualifying new tools, and supporting development or transfer activities.
Key Job Functions:
• Improving tool utilization and availability
• Supporting process development activities
• Process development and optimization
• Developing and writing specifications
• Good understanding of MSA and tool calibrations
• Reducing overall cost by improving tool performance and reducing scrap
• Developing and writing standard work procedures and Out of Control Action Plans (OCAP)
• Implementation of process SPC using Six-Sigma statistical methodology
• Working with manufacturing and industrial engineering for capacity planning and modeling
• Participating in and/or leading cross-functional and lean activity teams
• Sourcing and process releasing new equipment
• Training process technicians in dispositioning wafers in process out of control situations
• Training wafer FAB associates in process tool operation using our standard work process
• Identification and reduction of recurrent machine faults
