Job Summary
The Medical Assistant will support patient care by performing administrative and clinical tasks while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow at the RiverValley Behavioral Health Children's Hospital.
Essential Duties
• Greeting patients and scheduling appointments.
• Managing patient records and insurance documents.
• Assisting with examinations and procedures.
• Recording vital signs and collecting samples.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Skills And Abilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
• Demonstrates a positive outlook and a respectful manner towards clients, staff, and visitors.
• Must practice patient confidentiality.
• Proficiency in measuring and recording vital signs/weights required.
Education And Experience
• High School diploma or GED.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program required.
• State Certification/Registration, BLS, and medical office experience preferred.
