Title: Plant Manager - Food Manufacturing (Meat/Packaging/Raw Materials)
Location: Owensboro, KY - Relocation Assistance Available
Salary: $160,000-$180,000/Year + 10% Bonus and Benefits
Requirements: Candidate must have 6+ years in a Plant Management role, with extensive Continuous Improvement experience. Food, Beverage and Meat experience is needed for this role with an understanding of packaging. USDA/FDA Regulations are needed for this role, as well as HACCP (Certification is a plus) If you have the qualifications, please keep reading!
What You Will Be Doing
• All aspects of plant management to assure cost effective, timely and efficient production and coordinate distribution of consistently high-quality products.
• Manages plant costs regarding facilities and employees with headquarter office.
• Work with a full operation management structure including maintenance, quality assurance, warehouse, sanitation, finance and human resources.
• Leads staffing by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Maintains workflow by monitoring and developing steps of the process by setting processing instructions, observing control points and equipment, monitoring staff.
• Setting productions shifts accomplishing product manufacturing goals by establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Compiles and analyzes production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
What You Need For This Position
• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience in food packaging plant - mandatory.
• 5+ years of experience managing in a USDA and/or FDA food, meat and packaging manufacturer facility.
• HACCP certification a plus.
• Food safety knowledge.
• True team player with a positive and cooperative attitude. "No job too small "mantra.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to commutate with all levels of the organization
• Strong computer skills including MS Office
• Proven strong organizational skills, including the ability to multitask and work under constant deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
• Ability to operate in fast paced production environment.
