Job Summary
Proactive MD is currently seeking a Proposal Strategy Specialist to work as a member of the Sales Team. The successful candidate will be a proficient writer with the ability to develop and edit content for a wide variety of audiences. While this position will primarily respond to technical medical Requests for Proposal (RFPs), candidates should be formally trained in writing with the ability to follow processes and manage projects while maintaining flexibility in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts. You will utilize an advanced understanding of proposal management software to build and maintain our database which includes a library of content from which proposal managers draw to respond to RFPs. An additional primary focus of this role will be capitalizing on the emerging capabilities of software to improve response rates content quality, and reportable metrics.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
• Oversee the design, development, production, and on-time delivery of competitive responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Sales Proposals
• Prepare or coordinate the creation/completion of all exhibits, attachments, and supplemental information to be submitted with the response
• Monitor solicitation developments (amendments, submission of questions, answers to questions, etc.), keeping teammates updated and revising proposal outline and schedule as appropriate
• Oversee the printing/production of any printed responses and the delivery of those responses to the client
• Ensure leadership is engaged for direction and approvals as appropriate
• Collaborate with both Subject Matter Experts and design team to ensure accurate and appropriate presentation of content
• Ensure voice and tone of written content is consistent with Proactive MD verbal brand
• Maintain broad knowledge of Proactive MD offerings, internal operations, customer profiles, etc
• Work in collaboration with team members across the organization to develop content that is audience-appropriate and effectively communicates to the appropriate audiences
• Expert understanding of proposal management software and taxonomies
• Own and manage the proposal database and content management strategy for proposal management team
• Develop, review, and edit proposal content considering input from key stakeholders, typically involving sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and delivery
• Maintain an extensive library of content across key market segments
• Develop and manage ongoing review process of content and supporting documentation, maintaining document templates in line with company branding
• Use advanced software capabilities to realize efficiencies in content management process
• Evaluate and monitor proposal manager skill development related to tools and automation
• Perform audits to monitor efficiency of effort and compliance with identified best-practices
• Provide ongoing reporting and analysis of core functional requirements of role
• Maintain SME-level understanding of products and services
• Be able to communicate effectively across the organization in the execution of your role
• Effective time management / prioritization skills
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated skill and experience in writing and content creation
• Ability to prioritize work and manage competing deadlines while maintaining a positive, professional, and collaborative approach to projects
• Experience with Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn and navigate various other programs (Responsive, InDesign, etc.)
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job primarily operates in a corporate or home office environment and is required to interact with impacted stakeholders for the majority of the day. The physical demands to perform the essential functions of this job are:
• Effective communication, mobility, ability to operate office equipment and travel.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at their work area for prolonged periods of time
• Employee will occasionally be required to lift up to 15 pounds.
POSITION TYPE & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This role will be expected to work a minimum of 40.00 hours/week as directed. Typical workdays are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. This role is considered an exempt position. Evening and weekend work are infrequent but may occasionally be required as business needs dictate.
TRAVEL
Infrequent, domestic travel may be required and should be expected to be less than 25% of the position’s overall responsibilities.
