Service Desk Agent
I am currently seeking an agent for a contracted Service Desk position. This will be a contracted full-time position for our weekend shift Friday thru Sunday 7am to 7pm shift located on-site at the Lewisport, Ky facility. Starting wage will be $18 an hour. Expected Service Desk experience is preferred but not required.
Job details: The service desk will serve as the initial contact for all Commonwealth Rolled Products user IT incidents, requests and procedures. Service desk technicians will document phone calls and emails received from users with various issues and requests by creating tickets within SD software. Technicians will attempt to troubleshoot and be the initial line of support for all incidents. Resources to troubleshoot will include the service desk software containing historical ticket information, knowledge-based articles (KBs) of procedures, previous resolutions, communication directives and direct interaction with platform administrators. Tickets that cannot be resolved by SD technicians in a timely fashion will be moved to the responsible platform administrator. Tickets will be assigned priorities. High priority or business critical incidents opened after normal IT business hours may require technicians to contact the “on-call” person to begin immediate troubleshooting and resolution.
