Gaming Shift Supervisor
FUNCTION
The Gaming Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the gaming operations during an assigned shift, ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant operation of the gaming floor. This role involves supervising and coordinating team members, ensuring high levels of customer service, maintaining game integrity, and addressing any issues that may arise with patrons, employees, or the gaming equipment. The Gaming Shift Supervisor ensures that all gaming rules, regulations, and policies are adhered to and that a safe and enjoyable environment is maintained for both guests and staff.
Specific Duties And Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate gaming activities and staff during an assigned shift, ensuring that all games run smoothly and according to established procedures.
• Ensure all team members provide excellent customer service to guests, assisting with any questions or issues they may have.
• Monitor gaming tables, machines, and patrons to ensure compliance with state and local gaming laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Resolve disputes or complaints from customers in a timely and professional manner, escalating to higher management when necessary.
• Conduct regular checks of the gaming floor to ensure that equipment is functioning properly, and all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Assist in training, coaching, and evaluating gaming staff to ensure they meet performance standards and adhere to gaming regulations.
• Supervise and maintain the integrity of gaming operations, ensuring that games are conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
• Prepare and review daily reports, including gaming revenue, table performance, and employee activity.
• Perform cash handling procedures, including the monitoring of payouts and transactions, and ensure the security of financial operations.
• Work closely with security and surveillance teams to ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees.
• Implement and enforce safety and emergency procedures, ensuring that all staff are prepared for potential incidents.
• Other duties as assigned.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
• Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
Education, Training, And Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in a gaming or casino environment required; prior supervisory experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of gaming regulations, gaming operations, and customer service best practices.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations with professionalism and diplomacy.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
