QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
· Any combination equivalent to: high school diploma, G.E.D. Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D. as required by Kentucky law and three years of experience in custodial services.
· Hold a valid driver’s license.
Preferred:
At least two years as a head custodian.
Knowledge Of:
· Basic computer skills including use of mouse and keyboard to navigate computer, e-mail, and websites.
· Subject matter in area of assignment.
· In-service materials, subject matter and methods in area of specialty.
· Record-keeping techniques.
· Documentation methods and techniques.
· Laws, rules and regulations related to assigned activities.
· Principles of training and providing work direction.
· Technical aspects of field of specialty.
· Custodial training techniques.
· Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.
· Policies and objectives of assigned program and activities.
· Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
· Public speaking techniques.
Ability to:
· Professionally train custodial services staff.
· Learn and apply appropriate safety precautions and procedures.
· Manage assigned trainee and substitute custodian programs.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
Train custodial services personnel; evaluate the quality of custodial services delivered; oversee assigned trainee and substitute custodian programs.
Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement a training program for custodians and substitute custodians.
· Direct the production of professional training videos, instructional programs, prepare the written custodial services manual, and other materials as needed.
· Evaluate the performance of assigned custodial personnel and keep appropriate documentation.
· Assist with the recruitment process as needed including but not limited to candidate screenings and onboarding.
· Evaluate the custodial services program; establish professional standards and procedures for various schools and monitor the implementation.
· Conduct periodic check-ins with schools to assist custodial teams.
· Conduct custodial services workshops for custodial services personnel annually to provide remedial training to correct detected inefficiencies.
· Inspect, Evaluate and propose custodial equipment.
· Assist with assignment of substitute custodians as needed.
· May assist with substitution roles as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
