Job Posting Under the general direction of the City Administrator, the Parks and Recreation Specialist is responsible for maintenance, scheduling, and operation of the City Park System, grounds, structures, preservation of open spaces, and tree inventory. Will work with the City Administrator to develop plans and programs for year-round park and recreational activities.  The work may involve community engagement, involvement with elected officials, other policy makers, and citizens.
Desired Qualifications: Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; A valid Minnesota State Driver’s License and CDL Certification or ability to obtain one within 6 months. One (1) year of landscaping or grounds maintenance, recreational facilities maintenance or similar experience, including light equipment operation, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications: Additional park and recreation management experience; Experience working in a municipal department; Training or education in a parks and recreation field. Knowledge of regional flora and fauna. History of safe work practices and clean driving record.
