Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Brewer to join our team at Upstate Beverage Consultants, a leading non-alcoholic beverage manufacturing facility. In this role, you will support the production of high-quality, innovative, and flavorful non-alcoholic beverages while maintaining the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities • Brewing Operations
• Assist in the preparation and execution of brewing processes, including mixing, fermentation, filtration, and packaging of non-alcoholic beverages.
• Monitor brewing equipment and processes to ensure consistent quality and adherence to recipes.
• Quality Control
• Perform routine quality checks, including testing pH, Brix, and other critical parameters.
• Assist in sampling, recording, and maintaining production logs to ensure traceability and compliance.
• Equipment Maintenance
• Clean and sanitize brewing and production equipment, adhering to strict hygiene and food safety standards.
• Support routine maintenance and troubleshooting of brewing machinery.
• Inventory Management
• Help track raw materials, ingredients, and packaging supplies.
• Assist in inventory audits and communicate needs to the Head Brewer or Inventory Manager.
• Health and Safety
• Comply with all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Identify and report potential safety hazards or process inefficiencies.
• Collaboration
• Work closely with the brewing team, production staff, and quality assurance team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for product development and process improvements.
Qualifications Required: • High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interest in brewing and/or the beverage production industry.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in temperature-variable conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operating and maintaining equipment.
Preferred: • Previous experience in brewing, food production, or beverage manufacturing.
• Familiarity with non-alcoholic brewing processes or beverage technology.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
• Basic understanding of laboratory procedures for quality control.
