The Role
Atlas Copco is seeking an SBM Repair Technician to manage the tool maintenance contract at our customer's BMW manufacturing facility in Greer, South Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance and repairs on hard guards and carrier knobs. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the timely and accurate completion of maintenance tasks. You will communicate effectively with both internal teams and the customer's staff, addressing issues with a sense of urgency and handling escalations directly.
You will be required to report daily on-site at BMW's Greer, South Carolina facility. The work schedule consists of four 10-hour days from 7:00 AM to 5:40 PM. Please note that the schedule may change based on operational needs. As a full-time employee of Atlas Copco, you will receive a competitive hourly wage of $24.00 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on hard guards and carrier knobs.
• Communicate regularly with internal teams and BMW's staff to ensure quality and timely service.
• Respond with urgency to customer requests and handle escalations directly.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities meet quality standards and safety requirements.
• Document and track repair activities, including maintenance logs and reports.
• Provide support to the team, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and ready for use.
To Succeed, You Will Need:
• Experience : 2+ in a production environment with manufacturing automation, assembly tooling, or data collection systems.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting abilities. Ability to read and comprehend schematics & ensure quality repairs.
• Technical Aptitude : Ability to read and comprehend schematics. Proficiency in MS Office, networking, and database systems.
• Communication : Customer service skills, with an ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Physical Requirements: Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
