At Bigham Cable Construction , as a Project Manager , you will be responsible for the overall management of multiple projects and will focus on high levels of planning, delegation, and more. This role requires leadership skills including team building and management across projects.
A Project Manager focuses on developing project objectives and strategies by assessing how it will impact their department, project, or organization. For each project, you will define and oversee the people and processes needed to reach their targeted goals. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of the telecommunications industry; ability to use a computer and other office related equipment; ability to read, understand, interpret, input, and analyze data.

What you’ll do as a Project Manager
• Supervise, develop, and provide leadership to employees of an assigned area, department, or project.
• Review tasks and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Implement and maintain processes to assist completion of tasks in support of an assigned area, department, or project.
• Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist an assigned area, department, or project.
• Recruit, interview, hire, train, and retain talent for team building & development.
What you’ll need
• To be 18 years of age or older
• Previous work experience in the telecom cable construction industry required
• Previous supervisory and/or managerial experience
• Advanced proficiency in project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks for multiple projects/deadlines
• Advanced proficiency in the reading, design, troubleshooting, and understanding of fiber optic matrices (experience with fiber splitter designs and Bluebeam software preferred)
• Ability to track invoicing and manage project funding
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• The ability to function effectively in a high-stress situation
• The ability to communicate and develop strong relationships with company personnel, customers, and contractors
