Learning Loss Teaching Assistant -Remainder of 24-25
General Description
To work in partnership with school staff to facilitate learning loss tutoring to increase academic achievement for students. Position is for the remainder of the 2024 - 2025 school year.

Duties/Responsibilities
•
Assist certified teachers with tutoring and remediation activities.
•
Maintain student data and complete required student reports.
•
Follow school procedures
•
Set a positive example for students with respect to punctuality, dress, language, and behavior.
•
Maintain all equipment used in activities and assure its safe storage.
•
Plan for the safe operation of the afterschool program and the safety of all participants, including accident reports.
•
Maintain a productive behavioral environment for all students.
•
Inform Coordinator of behavioral issues as they arise.
•
Complete all scheduled staff development sessions.

Minimum Qualifications
•
Must be at least 18 years of age
•
Must have 1 year of college education; education background preferred
•
Education or training equal to the knowledge, skills, and abilities of this position
•
Prior experience working with school-age children
•
Licensure eligible and teaching endorsement in elementary or middle school preferred.
Special Requirements
•
Criminal background check
•
Fingerprinting and Child Abuse Index Clearance from Department of Justice
•
CPR and First Aid Certification - preferred
Salary: Pro-rated $42,000.00 Salary Salary
