Position: Electrical Superintendent
Department: Leadec Project Services
Our Project Services division of Leadec is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to manage day-to-day oversight of supervision of all field projects in numerous locations including, but not limited to:
• Body & Assembly Automation projects
• Powertrain Automation projects
• OEM installation projects
• Structural steel and mezzanine design, manufacture and installation
• Conveyor design, manufacture and installation
• Mechanical & Electrical installation
• Robot and PLC programming
• Project Management services
• Equipment Relocation (Rigging & Millwright Projects)
• On-site technical services
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all projects are performed in accordance with contractual and quality standards.
• Schedule and direct the daily activities of work and taking necessary action to assure that the project objectives of cleanliness, safety, price, schedule, quality and process are met
• Development, procurement, and enforcement of safety policies and procedures
• Maintain daily paperwork such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates and E-mail correspondence to keep the various people involved with the project informed of important issues
• Implement incremental project schedules that make sure upcoming events are on track and are being proactively attended to
• Promote and maintain a culture that supports our corporate principles
• Conduct and/or attend pre-construction, progress and other project and staff meetings
• Monitor staffing needs, evaluate performance, and address employee relation issues as warranted for field staff

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to provide direction and hold a team accountable to meeting the desired results
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite -- including Excel, Word, Power-point (or similar)
• Must be able to manage employees and have strong leadership skills
• Must have mechanical trades experience of the following industrial trades, rigging, pipefitting, pipe welding, ductwork, equipment relocations, structural welding, mechanical fabrications, machine assemblies.
• Must have thorough knowledge of OSHA's requirements for construction safety and have attended an OSHA 30-hour certification in the last five years
• Must be able to read and understand construction documents and drawings.
• Must be able to identify quality workmanship as it relates to building codes, industry standards, contract documents, and identify rework if required.
• Must be able to produce, maintain, and direct the project schedule that is driven by project managers
Position Qualifications & Requirements:
• 10+ years' experience working in the industrial trades and able to perform all craft disciplines as outlined above
• 8+ years' experience as a project superintendent with 15 years of total construction experience
• Previous experience in construction management
• Previous experience managing project budgets, developing and maintaining schedules, and owner relationships
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of the job:
• Required to talk and/or hear in an office and industrial setting where noise levels can vary greatly. Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces from 4-12 hours. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; stoop, or crouch
• Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment
• Work is performed in an office and/or onsite in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Anticipated travel 50%
