Overview
Super Shine Car Wash is a multi site car wash in Phoenix Arizona, and we are quickly growing. Our locations span Tolleson, Phoenix, and Mesa. Our locations all have self service bays, one with a full express tunnel, one with an IBA, and 2 with dog wash bays. We are seeking a Car Wash Mechanic/Technician to help maintain the equipment at our sites, perform and facilitate repairs, and maintain a stellar customer experience.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 3+ years HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical repair, plumbing experience.
• High level understanding of plumbing, electrical, hydraulic and other systems and able to troubleshoot all systems effectively
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work sites daily. Mileage reimbursement to be provided.
• Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
• Able to bend, squat, push, pull, and able to lift 75 pounds. Ability to work on a ladder.
• Well organized and communicative, able to keep management updated via text/photo messaging, maintain inventory on spreadsheets, etc.
• Must be adept with technology and able to research information to find solutions.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics/designs.
• Welding experience is a plus. 3 phase electrical troubleshooting a plus
• Solid references and clean drug screen and background check.
Responsibilities and Expectations
• On a weekly basis the technician will visit each site to test and inspect all equipment to ensure optimal performance. The technician will also maintain inventory of all parts and wash chemicals/soaps and coordinate with 3 party vendors when soaps/chemicals are running low.
• For any identified issue, technicians will perform mechanical repairs. Some examples include changing hoses, troubleshooting bay timer issues, troubleshooting IBA faults, replacing IBA components, re-aligning IBA back on track, replacing solenoids, repairing pumps, replacing motors, troubleshooting electrical issues and replacing electrical components, changing system components, replacing vacuum motors, replacing air dryer motors, identifying and resolving plumbing issues, troubleshooting bay function issues (e.g wax not delivering, soap not delivering, etc)
• When not facilitating repairs, technicians will be responsible for routine maintenance of equipment. Some examples include rebuilding pumps/ replacing heads, replacing nozzles, cleaning lines, inspecting and changing hoses, re-wiring bay timers, taking inventory, light clean up, organizing equipment rooms, replacing wear/tear parts as necessary, replacing belts/lines/hoses, etc.
• In addition, perform maintenance and repair of all buildings at our facilities.
• Installing new or upgrading old equipment to provide the highest quality car wash to customers.
• Technicians will be responsible for working with and assisting 3 party technicians from time to time on advanced repairs or mechanical issues.
• Technicians will be responsible for site to site supply and material deliveries.
• Technicians will be provided a company credit card and may need to visit local hardware or specialty stores in order to acquire parts/supplies/tools needed for a repair.
• Ability to backfill for non-technician staff from time to time. This may include site clean up, customer service, etc.
• Hours are flexible but may require weekends, early mornings, and late evening pending critical repairs
• Other duties as assigned.
Compensation: $25-$35 DOE.
Hours 30+ per week. Depending on demand hours can exceed 40+
