Job Title: Patient Experience Host
Weekly Hours: Full Time
Supervised by: PEH Coordinator
Location: Greenville, SC (Verdae Blvd)
Position Overview: Responsible for welcoming families and checking patients in and out. Representing the Parkside Way by showing exceptional customer service, welcoming every family into the office, making them feel seen, loved, and served. Clearly communicating with surrounding team members to ensure all visits are facilitated with accuracy and efficiency. High accountability with other departments for taking responsibility of the patient’s entire in-office experience.
Responsibilities:
Greeting our patients with exceptional customer service and hosting families by guiding their check in/out process and owning the waiting room atmosphere.
Inviting, connecting, and partnering with our patients and families to help provide extraordinary patient care.
Responsibilities including but not limited to refreshing waiting area multiple times throughout the day, walking around to waiting families to connect and welcome, owning wait times and over all flow of the appointments, handling paperwork, scheduling future appointments, and collecting payments.
Completing daily administrative tasks including but not limited to reviewing provider schedules, prepping electronic charts for upcoming appointments, collecting and verifying patient demographic and insurance information, and cleaning and organizing the front desk and waiting room areas.
Filling in on the Patient Experience team, floating to other locations as a Patient Experience Host, and covering early access/urgent care on an as needed basis.
Attending team development meetings and trainings throughout the year.
Required Education & Certifications:
Customer service experience preferred.
Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
Comfortable with computer skills and typing.
Strong relational and hosting traits
Willing to be on your feet for 90% of your working hours.
Work environment and Physical Demands: Requires sitting, standing, and walking associated with a normal physician office environment. Person may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, infectious diseases, blood/bodily fluids, and disease-bearing specimens.
