The instructors will develop and lead the week long course. Instructors will create a detailed course syllabus, including learning objectives, planned activities for each day, and planned guest speakers and field trips.

These positions work in the Continuing Education department at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel, and are responsible for planning and teaching courses for the Summer Academy at UGA youth academic camp program. They will create an academic syllabus, teach during their week of camp, and ensure the safety and effectiveness of all aspects of the program.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification In Position
High School Diploma
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or Competencies
Experience working with youth preferred (middle school and high school students). Reliable and responsible, with a great deal of maturity and initiative. Detail-oriented, with excellent planning and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working in Microsoft Excel and feel comfortable learning new computer programs. Available during assigned dates and hours.
Physical Demands
Periodically lifting up to 25 pounds and walking/standing about 70% of the time.
