Tutor student(s) and aid in their understanding of the material covered in their courses.
Percentage of time 60 Duties/Responsibilities
Maintain a record of what occurred in each tutoring session, including topics covered, student progress, time spent, and student’s level of preparedness for tutoring.

Review course topics ahead of sessions to be prepared to utilize time scheduled with student(s).

Act as one-on-one or small group tutor for student-athletes enrolled in MATH, STAT, PHYS, CSCI, or other math related courses.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification In Position
Bachelor’s degree in Math, Education or a related field.
At least 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience.
Familiarity with current technologies used to teach math, including computer programs and graphing calculators.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or Competencies
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals, customers and the general public. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with random issues. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
