Job Summary: We are seeking a diligent and empathetic Healthcare Collection Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail. This role involves managing patient accounts, resolving billing issues, and ensuring timely collections while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities
• Responsible to answer patient phone inquiries via phone system.
• Contact patients to discuss outstanding balances and arrange payment plans.
• Review and analyze patient accounts to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Process payments and update patient account information accurately.
• Collaborate with insurance companies to verify coverage and resolve claims issues.
• Provide patients with information regarding their bills, insurance coverage, and payment options.
• Maintain detailed records of collection activities and patient interactions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA and FDCPA.
• Work closely with the billing department to streamline processes and improve collections.
• Communicate with Collection agencies as needed.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in private pay collections, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including electronic health records (EHR) and billing systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing and insurance processes.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
