Job Description The Operation Specialist I has entry level knowledge within designated Information Technology (IT) area of responsibility that is applied to specific assignments. This role executes assigned tasks and collaborates on IT projects while exhibiting consistent, current knowledge of new technologies, and platforms.
• Assess, maintain, support, and modify existing solutions utilizing standard procedures and techniques including tools supporting Engineering Design, 3D Modeling, and the integration of the data associated with various downstream construction and procurement tools.
• Apply methodology to support business applications, and investigate operational problems as necessary
• Assist in the preparations of full spectrum of specifications and user requirements
• Assist higher-level specialist in the maintenance of solutions
• Participate with cross-functional team members in issue identification, process impacts, and solution development discussions to optimize end-to-end solutions
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements • A combination of education and directly related experience equal to four (4) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Preferred Qualifications • Experience in technical services for hardware/software engineering and production support of Information Technology (IT)
• Ability to demonstrate technical and non-technical communication skills, both oral and written
• Able to analyze and act upon operational reports
• Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills
• As applicable one or more of these skills may be required:
o Ability to analyze reports and remediate vulnerabilities in firewalls, routers, Intrusion Detection Systems, and Vulnerability Assessments
o Some proficiency with telecommunications, local area network/wide area network (LAN/WAN) and multi-platform environments
o Some proficiency in areas of voice telecommunications technologies, including cell phones, calling cards and connections with user environments
o Knowledge in support of messaging environments
o Proficiency in end user services support, including knowledge of help desk management processes, desktop support, or asset management
Salary Range 45,000 to 82,000
Market Rate The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
