Position Summary
This position is part of the Mass Market Product Strategy team, focused on creating compelling, delightful customer journeys, bundles, portfolio and product strategies and roadmaps that deliver on Xcel Energy’s clean energy and financial objectives. You will define the future strategy, in-year performance rollups, product lifecycle management and emerging technology roadmaps for mass market products (residential and multi-family focus). This opening is based in Denver, Minneapolis or Eau Claire and will drive effectiveness of product delivery and customer satisfaction with an emphasis on energy efficiency and electrification products and services.
Position level will be selected to align with level of experience and applicability of demonstrated proficiency and results.
Essential Responsibilities
• Responsible for the corporation's mass market energy-efficiency and electrification product market vision, plans and status to meet market segments' needs and product goals. Oversee and ensure all portfolio strategies meet corporate and customer needs.
• Define strategy for all aspects of portfolio's marketing mix including: pricing, sales channels, launch activities, acquisition and retention, life-cycle management and customer migration paths. Manage product portfolio issues across segments to meet goals. Provide work direction to achieve goals.
• Develop budgets, sales forecasts, DSM and profitability goals as part of the energy-efficiency and electrification mass market portfolio strategy. Track the progress of each portfolio (P&L) and product against target. Accountability to product P&L. Ensure programs are being implemented within regulatory policies and requirements (specific for each state).
• Drive and champion recommendations to Product Development of new technologies and product designs. Work with Product Development to create strategic alignment throughout the development process.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with energy-efficiency and/or electrification product strategy, development or management is strongly preferred
• Experience in mass market customer products and related energy programs.
• Experience managing or supporting demand response, energy efficiency, renewable or other energy products or services, with a focus on strategy development to deliver program goals in a regulated environment.
• Experience with data-driven strategy development and creating requirements for visual management tools to track portfolio performance and adjust strategies to achieve goals.
• Experience developing portfolio life cycle management systems, product roadmaps, experience journeys and/or portfolio-level strategy and content for regulatory filings
Minimum Requirements for PPM
• College degree required. MBA preferred.
• Four years of experience in marketing, product management or product development is required.
• Team and peer leadership with excellent communications skills and proven results.
• For DSM portfolio management, two years experience with regulatory requirements and conservation programs is mandatory.
Minimum Requirements for Sr Manager
• College degree required, or equivalent years of education and experience. MBA preferred.
• Five years of experience in marketing, product management or product development is required.
• Team and peer leadership with excellent communications skills and proven results.
• For DSM portfolio management, two years experience with regulatory requirements and conservation programs is mandatory.

Non-Bargaining
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $81,000.00 to $130,567.00 per year
