Job Summary Evaluates and treats patient populations for speech-language therapy needs according to appropriate competency levels. # Job Responsibilities Provides direct patient care, maintains clinical records, and follows performance improvement recommendations. Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans. Performs skill proficiency requirements as related to experience. Aides with department maintenance. Utilizes equipment and materials according to standards and identifies new resources desired for projected budget formulation. Assists with statistical data collection for performance improvement projects. Assists the supervisor with graduate student supervision by supervising SLP students completing clinical rotations. Qualifications Master#s degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology required upon hire OR Master#s degree or higher in related field required upon hire No experience required SLP - Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Kentucky required upon hire AND BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
