Shift Leader (2nd Shift)
The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate activities of workers engaged in production processes. This position reports directly to the Supervisor Production and is a Manufacturing V non-exempt position.
Primary Responsibilities
• Responsible for the work effort of hourly employees including safety, attendance, and production requirements.
• Monitors performance and responsible for the performance appraisal of hourly employees involving discipline, training, and Job Instruction assessments with guidance from the production Supervisor.
• Responsible for the approval and processing of hours worked for assigned employees.
• Serves as a liaison between Production Supervisor and employees assigned.
Work Schedule: 2nd Shift (4:30 pm - 3:00 am Monday - Thursday)
Starting Hourly Rate: $27.91 - $31.20
Qualifications
• An Associate’s Degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in leading and working with teams, conflict resolution, and employee performance appraisals.
• Experience in a company utilizing integrated software (SAP) is preferred.
• Applied computer skills are a must. Proficient in Excel spreadsheet applications, Microsoft Windows applications, Power Point presentations and Lotus Notes are preferred.
• Must have excellent oral, written, organizational and interpersonal skills is required.
• Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
• Demonstrated strong problem solving skills.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and with employees from various levels within the organization. They may also have direct interaction with the QA Department, purchasing and accounting areas.
• Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position.
• Compliance with all rules of conduct, safety regulations and policies provided in Employee Handbooks, on Company bulletin boards/announcements, terms/conditions of employment or other means of communication is a requirement of the job.
