Material Control Operator/Forklift (2nd Shift)
The primary purpose of this position is to load/unload trucks and transport materials internally via forklift, in order to assist with the operations in the manufacturing of skylight component parts according to production standards and plans.
Standard Working Hours: 2nd Shift (4:30 pm - 3:00 am Monday - Thursday)
Primary Responsibilities
• Performs work according to Job Instructions (J.I.’s) assigned to the position: supply assembly line with the necessary supplies to produce the skylights
• Transport inventory in and out of the parts supply area of the assembly line
• Perform accurate SAP transactions
• Ensures production, quality and safety standards are met
• Performs cleaning and maintaining of 5’s practices
• Performs other assignments as directed by local supervision
Starting Hourly Wage: $21.20 - $22.44 hourly rate includes a shift differential
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED is preferred
• Experience operating a Forklift required/ Forklift Certification preferred
• Experience in a production environment is required
• Experience with SAP in issuing and confirming components as well as the process in SAP to load and unload truck
• Must be able to key information into a computer with accuracy
• Must be a self-starter with good organizational skills
• Good math skills are required
• Must be able to read and follow production plans
• Understanding of metric measurement systems is preferred
• Must be able to work overtime and on weekends as needed
• Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position
• The desire and ability to work in a team environment demonstrated through a positive quality, safety, attendance and good work history
