What you bring:
• B.S. degree in Food Science, Cereal Science, Chemistry, or related field - Equivalent work experience also acceptable
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, with focus on industrial bakery production
• Knowledge of baking process and function of ingredients
• Passion for bakery applications
• Able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
Key responsibility examples include:
• Development
• New product development
• Ingredient screening and assessment
• Demo concepts
• Propose/Design new experimentation procedures as well as utilize existing procedures
• Employ a solutions mindset during product development
• Leverage knowledge of ingredient functionality in bakery applications
• Plant trial support as needed
• Sales Support
• Support the sales team with technical knowledge to help market our products to customers.
• Comfortable interacting with customers to showcase our capabilities
Skillsets:
• Proficient in standard Windows applications, minimum Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong networking skills
• Excellent project management skills with ability to prioritize multiple activities among cross-functional teams
Relationships:
• Reports to Director of Research & Development.
• Works closely with Sales, Procurement, Quality, Engineering & Manufacturing
